Hello and welcome to my website.
As I've only made the career switch to enginering somewhat recently I'm still learning how to work with HTML, CSS and the web in general. So far it is fun, the Python Discord folks help me out a lot.
I am currently employed in the private protection sector. After seeing a relative show me his Python programs, I became intrigued. Around three years ago, I started to learn Python. These days I could say I am mostly comfortable with it, so now I'm trying to expand my reach and help out in the Python Discord DevOps group.
In my free time I enjoy a mix of MMA training and gardening. I am especially proud on my radishes, they just don't taste the same when you buy them from the store.
Recently I've picked up an interest in welding. Apparently, the timing for this was good, as my colleagues were running a contest for the title of the "goodest welder" that I won. I am grateful to be honoured like this, and will continue to weld in the future.
My favourite movie is probably The Shining. I can relate to it on a deep, personal level. "Wendy, I'm home!" When I was younger I had a bet with my colleagues that I could "cosplay" the scene where he's freezing in the snow. My friends packed each of us into the snow. I lasted for 32 minutes - the longest of the group - but could not get out on my own anymore. I "won" free lunch and two weeks of being bedridden, including a short hospital visit for hypothermia.
